The mysterious trip to
Hollywood Cemetery
Georgia's Hollywood Cemetery is in
northwest Atlanta. Most of the property
is overgrown, treacherous, and barely
accessible in the summer. If you
want to visit, wait for winter so
you can see what's there. Finding
a grave in Hollywood Cemetery is
a game of chance. This short
film shows my search for the grave
of Annie Dennard Olive, one of my
ancestors. Several hours are compressed
into about two minutes.
If you decide to visit Hollywood Cemetery, you should know that it is not in the best of neighborhoods. Also, the "non-perpetual care" sections can be hazardous.
